What is PTA Movie Night Live?

PTA, in partnership with HP, is pleased to offer an exclusive showing of Kung Fu Panda nationwide to all registered PTA schools within days of its DVD release.  This is an exciting, first of its kind opportunity available only to PTA schools.  PTA Movie Night Live is proudly sponsored by PTA Video Store, a new online destination for family-friendly movies and tv shows.

When is PTA Movie Night Live?

Each participating PTA school has selected a date between November 13 and November 26 to host the event.  To find out if your school is participating, click here and enter the city and/or state of your PTA school.  The event dates are listed, but please contact your PTA leadership to find out the time and details of your event.

Where are the events taking place?

Each participating PTA school has selected a venue for the event.  In most cases this will be at your school (e.g. auditorium, gym).  Some schools are hosting their event at a local community center.  To find out exactly where your school is hosting the event, please contact your PTA leadership.

Does my school have to be a PTA school in order to participate in PTA Movie Night Live?

Yes, only PTA schools are invited to host this exclusive event.

How much does it cost to attend?

There is no cost to attend PTA Movie Night Live.

Who can attend?

Everyone!  This is a fun social event for the whole family.

Why are PTA schools being invited to this free movie night event?

We are celebrating the PTA Video Store, PTA’s new online destination for family-friendly entertainment (www.PTAVideoStore.com).  We couldn’t think of a better way to get the word out than by offering all PTA schools a free night of family fun with an exclusive showing of Kung Fu Panda.

How is PTA Movie Night Live relevant to PTA?

PTA Movie Night Live is sponsored by the PTA Video Store, the new trusted online destination for family-friendly entertainment.  The PTA Video Store was created by PTA to help parents and families navigate the ever-changing, digital entertainment landscape.  This is also a great opportunity to encourage family involvement at your school.

Watching a family movie at our school is a great social event, but how does PTA Movie Night Live benefit parents, families, and children?

In addition to a fun social event, PTA Movie Night Live will introduce the PTA Video Store to families.  PTA knows that parents and families have many choices when deciding where to buy their family entertainment.  With this in mind, PTA would like to invite families to try the PTA Video Store with the new $20 PTA DVD Gift Card where thousands of the most popular movie and tv titles are now available (only G, PG, and PG-13 rated titles are available, with adult authorization required for purchasing PG-13 titles).  Importantly, a child can safely navigate the PTA Video Store – it is a secure site, specifically designed for families.

PTA Movie Night Live and PTA DVD Gift Card – both great ideas, but how do they relate to each other?

PTA DVD Gift Cards will be available for purchase at PTA Movie Night Live.  Both offer the very best in family entertainment, and both help support your school.

So my school gets a free Kung Fu Panda DVD, free Performance License, and other free giveaways?  How can I help?

We encourage you to purchase $20 PTA DVD Gift Cards at your event.  In addition to your school keeping 10% from each gift card you sell, successful card sales allows PTA Video Store to continue offering a safe online entertainment destination, and to continue bringing free family events to your school.  There is no limit to how many PTA DVD Gift Cards you can purchase at the event – if your school runs out they can send you more after the event.

How does the gift card work?

For $20, you will receive a $20 PTA DVD Gift Card, fully redeemable at PTA’s online video store, www.PTAVideoStore.com.  PTA DVD Gift Cards can be used to purchase thousands of family-friendly movies and tv shows (the gift card can also be applied towards shipping and handling fees).  The cards make a great gift for the Holidays and help support your school.  And unlike some other gift cards, PTA DVD Gift Cards have no hidden gift card fees and do not expire.

How does this gift card benefit my school?

The $20 PTA DVD Gift Card is the gift that gives twice: $20 of DVD credit to the gift card recipient and 10% of the proceeds going to your school.  So, for every gift card sold, your school keeps $2.

My school isn’t participating in movie night – can I still purchase family-friendly PTA DVD Gift Cards?

Yes!  The gift cards can be purchased online at www.PTAVideoStore.com as well at major retailers including Walgreens, Office Depot, Dollar General, Kinney Drugs, and Valero at a variety of denominations starting at $20.  Ask a store associate for help if you can’t locate them.
